Bozeman, Mont. — May 4, 2026 – New structured approach strengthens support for military spouses navigating transition and identity.

The COMMIT Foundation today announced the introduction of eMpowered, a dedicated curriculum now guiding its Military Spouse Program, originally launched in 2024. This evolution strengthens the organization’s approach to supporting military spouses navigating transition, identity shifts, and long-term direction by bringing greater structure, consistency, and intentional development to the participant experience.

Rather than launching a new program, COMMIT is building on its established Military Spouse Program by introducing a formalized curriculum designed to deepen impact and create a more intentional journey for every participant.

Military spouses often face repeated transitions tied to service life, including relocation, career disruption, and evolving personal identity. While many resources focus on employment readiness, COMMIT’s approach emphasizes an earlier foundation, helping individuals first gain clarity about who they are and what they want before moving into career direction and next steps.

“Military spouses are navigating transition just as much as the service member is, but, unfortunately, they’re expected to figure it out on their own,” said JC Glick, CEO of The COMMIT Foundation. “eMpowered is solely for them to create space for them to step back, understand who they are in this season of life, and move forward with clarity and confidence. When that happens, it doesn’t just shape what’s next professionally—it changes how they show up in their families and communities.”

The eMpowered curriculum is embedded throughout the Spouse Program experience and is built on four core pillars: clarity, confidence, connection, and action. These principles guide participants through structured reflection, community engagement, and practical steps designed to translate insight into forward movement.

In addition to direct program delivery, COMMIT is expanding engagement with corporate partners, donors, and military installations to broaden awareness and access to the Military Spouse Program.

“As a military spouse myself, I know how often your own path can shift alongside service life. This work is personal to me. We’ve seen what happens when spouses are given the space to step back, get clear, and rebuild with intention. It changes how they show up in their careers, their families, and their communities. There’s a real opportunity for others to invest in that kind of impact,” said Lindsay Cashin, Senior Vice President of Advancement at COMMIT Foundation.

This expanded ecosystem approach is intended to strengthen both awareness and access, ensuring military spouses are supported not only through direct programming, but also through the institutions, organizations, and partners that serve them.

The eMpowered curriculum will be implemented across the Military Spouse Program under the guidance of COMMIT’s program leadership team, ensuring consistency and intentionality in how participants are supported throughout their journey.

“Our focus is on delivering a structured, intentional experience that truly meets military spouses where they are, honoring both the seen and unseen parts of their journey,” said Adrianne Huls, Spouse Program Coordinator at COMMIT Foundation. “Military spouses carry so much, including adaptability, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to others, often while navigating uncertainty themselves. eMpowered gives us a shared framework to pour back into them with purpose, guiding participants from uncertainty to clarity and from reflection to action. It brings alignment and consistency to how we show up for every individual we have the privilege to serve, ensuring they feel seen, valued, and equipped for what’s next.”
