Margaret Riley
Chief Operating Officer
Margaret Riley serves as the Chief Operating Officer with The COMMIT Foundation. Margaret brings with her over 18 years of legal, military, and veteran nonprofit experience. In this position, she is responsible for the operational and strategic leadership of The COMMIT Foundation and guides key organizational initiatives and performance outcomes. Before joining The COMMIT Foundation, Margaret worked with PsychArmor Institute as the External Relations Director and Wounded Warrior Project as the Community Partnerships and Investments Director. Additionally, she has worked in higher education at the University Of Southern California, Center of Innovation and Research for Veterans and Military Families (CIR) and Chapman University AMVETS Legal Clinic. Margaret has also worked with the Illinois Attorney General’s Office in Military and Veterans Rights. Margaret earned her bachelor’s degree from Clemson University and her law degree from California Western School of Law. Upon graduation from law school, she joined the U.S. Army as a direct commission and served as a JAG officer with the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). Originally from Long Island, NY, Margaret now lives in Jacksonville, FL with her twin sons.
