Tia Hooper
Justina “Tia” Hooper is an entrepreneur, author, and attorney who served for more than
a decade as an active-duty Judge Advocate (JAG) in the United States Air Force and is
now serving as a JAG reservist. After active duty, Tia served as in-house Corporate
Counsel for Young’s Holdings Inc. In May 2026, she launched her own practice as a
fractional general counsel, bringing practical, business-minded legal guidance to
growing companies. She earned her BA from Pepperdine University, JD from
Southwestern Law School, and an LL.M. in Corporate Law from the University of San
Diego School of Law.
Tia is also a venture builder. She is the founder of Joli Jaunts ™ , a children’s picture book
series following a curious, brave young girl who travels the world to help kids, and of
Warranted Works ™ , a platform that gives authors and illustrators the tools and templates
to protect and build on their creative work. Additionally, she serves the military
community as Executive Director of the Judge Advocates Foundation and as founder of
JAG$ 4 FI, a financial independence community for judge advocates.
Tia’s commitment to COMMIT is personal. The Foundation helped change the trajectory
of her own transition from active-duty service, and she understands firsthand that
transition is a journey, not a single moment. As Secretary of the Board, she is honored
to help fellow service members find the same clarity, confidence, and sense of purpose
that COMMIT helped her discover.
